Guiding offers many exciting opportunities to learn and develop skills, experience new challenges and receive recognition along the way.

Stem Event
Guides, Pathfinders & Rangers Stem Event - May 11 & 12th, 2019
The Atlantic Association for Research in the Mathematical Sciences (AARMS) and Girl Guides-NS Council are proud to host a Provincial STEM event at Dalhousie University, Halifax

Who: The event will be for Guides, Pathfinders and Rangers

When: Saturday, May 11, registration will begin around 9:00A.M. with sessions starting at 11:00A.M. The event will end Sunday, May 12 at 11:30A.M.

What: Girls will share double occupancy rooms at St. Mary’s University residences. Breakfast will be at the SMU dining halls, with other meals provided at the Dal campus dining halls. STEM sessions will be offered by various Dal faculties. There will also be a large group event with guest speakers on Saturday evening.

Cost:  Between $25-$50 per girl. We have applied for funding for this event and will know late January if we are approved. As soon as this is confirmed, the price for the event will be set. Look for more information early February with details on how to register your Unit. There will also be an option for Units to come and stay Friday night at their own expense—more details to come on that also!

Transportation to and from the event is not included in the cost.
