Training

GGC is committed to supporting you in your volunteer position in Nova Scotia

One source of that support is training. Whether you are a new unit leader, a Commissioner or an experienced adviser, training teaches you new skills and energizes you for the year ahead.

Nova Scotia's Training Team is here to help!
Training is offered in a variety of ways via group training, one to one training or on line through e-Learning.
National has information on Unit Guider Training Opportunities for Orientation to Guiding, Safe Guide and more.

Interested in Outdoor/Camping Leadership? Read on…...
Guiders interested in completing both streams are welcome to join us for the whole weekend.

OAL Residential - April 27-28th

The Outdoor Activity Leadership (OAL) modules are designed to support Guiders to provide safe, engaging camping experiences for girls from Sparks through to Rangers.  The residential modules cover material on planning and leading camps, food and nutrition, and camp life.  These modules serve as per-requisites for the tenting modules.

Beginning Friday, April 27th with registration between 6:30 and 7pm and wrapping up at 4:00pm on Saturday, April 28th.

There is no fee for the training and participants will be reimbursed for their mileage.  *Please note, the building in which Guiders will be sleeping does not have bunks, so Guiders will want to bring sleeping pads.*

OAL Tenting - April 28th-29th
