Wave Makers: GGC’s Youth Spokesperson Team
At Girl Guides of Canada, providing girls and young women with a platform to speak out on the issues that matter to them is at the heart of what we do. The Wave Makers are a group of girls and young women (ages 14-23) who are empowered to act as youth spokespeople for GGC. They are supported with media training and mentoring to publicly represent GGC.
They’re called “Wave Makers” because they help amplify GGC’s Girl-Driven Research – and in the process, they’re making waves as they shine a spotlight on the issues impacting girls in Canada. As a Wave Maker, you will be an ambassador for GGC’s Vision of a better world, by girls.
Wave Makers are currently being recruited in:
- Calgary
- Halifax
- Toronto
